Galvatron + trauma related headcanons
- Rumble and Frenzy thought itād be hilarious to show GalvatronĀ āvoreā once, they were not prepared for him to have a panic attack at the very thought of being eaten.
- He also does not like doors and houses shaped like mouths.
- Itās surprisingly easy to guilt-trip him. This is likely due to the impact this left on him.
- Flashing red lights also drive him to panic attacks as that was the primary visual torment Unicron used on him.
- Likewise high pitched screeching noises unsettle him.
- Being submerged orĀ āsmotheredā in something for too long also deeeeply upsets him as it makes him think of when he was helplessly submerged in plasma.
- The very thought of beingĀ ācontrolledā again shakes him to his core, so in order for him to do things for you, you simply have to word it like aĀ āquestionā that he has a choice in, even if he doesnāt. Heās generally compliant as long as he doesnāt feel trapped.
- Just the thought of him losing agency over himself is pretty much a instant breakdown thing.
- Itās for that reason Galvatron is deeply afraid of himself whenever he loses control during these breakdowns and he attacks anything and everything nearby.
- Sometimes Galvatron does weird nonsensical things that make him seemĀ āfreakyā to everyone around him, but he actually does them as occasionalĀ āchecksā to make sure heās not being controlled again.
- Heās not claustrophobic as long as he has a way out of a room/place heās fine no matter the size but if he cannot escape then he will begin to panic and thrash.
- His cannon is a comfort object due to being his primary weapon and thus the first thing he uses to defend himself. As long as he has it, heās safe.
- Sometimes due to the mental damage from the plasma he has migraines, itās best not to touch him if heās having one as often the pain drags up memories of Unicron attacking him so he might jump and hit you as a knee-jerk reaction.
Given his origin as a abused, mentally ill character I have made it a mission to ensure any and every Galvatron in any timeline/AU fits one of those two things, or both.
And itās safe to say right now itās been successful! Even for the Armada and RiD2001 timelines ideas have been had!
